Dr. Diana Chavez Ketterman (a.k.a. “Dr. K”), received a doctorate degree in educational psychology from the University of California at Riverside. With over 38 years of experience in positive psychology, she has worked as a nationally certified school and licensed educational psychologist and an at-risk community college counselor in Southern California in the role of Success Coach. She is the CEO of the non-profit Character Champions Foundation that trains Character Coaches to promote wellness and Psychological Wealth® by incorporating Character Champions® leadership and self-development skills for youth and adults. Dr. K. shares her expertise internationally with families, school districts, hospitals, and civic/business organizations, including Disney, CSEA, American Mini Storage, numerous community colleges, state universities, ESI, and Primerica. She is the author of several books on individual differences and lifelong success. Dr. Ketterman has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome (or ASD) and shares her experiences to help others with special needs and challenges to experience greater success.

Dr. K’s therapy partner, Juntos, a friendly therapy dog, has been certified to provide clients with an additional source of therapeutic support to help manage anxiety and lift feelings of depression. Juntos, which means together, is naturally warm and friendly and hypoallergenic so that people of all ages can gain a positive experience incorporating animal therapy as part of their treatment plan. Research continues to find that multiple forms of therapy are best when combined to treat anxiety, depression, ASD, PTSD as well as many other types of mental health and learning challenges.

Alongside her professional roles, Dr. K. enjoys exploring nature in the Pacific Northwest, tending her Koi/turtle pond, and watching comedies and playing games with her family. She loves to spend time laughing with others. Dr. K. also volunteers a lot of her time helping make the world a more compassionate, kinder place. She dreams of a world filled with peace, harmony and mutual respect for all.
