What is Neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity is a concept that promotes the view that neurological differences, such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities, are natural variations of human brain function rather than disorders that need to be cured, emphasizing the need for inclusivity of people with these differences.

What is Neurodivergent?

Neurodivergents are individuals whose neurological development and functioning are atypical compared to the general population. This can include people with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or other cognitive differences. The term emphasizes that such differences are not deficits but variations in how brains can function.

What is Neurodivergence?

Neurodivergence is the state of having a neurodevelopmental condition or brain that functions in ways that differ from what is typically expected. It emphasizes divergence from the neurotypical norm.

What is Neurotypical?

Neurotypicals are individuals whose neurological development and functioning align with what is considered standard or typical by societal norms. They are often used in contrast to neurodivergent.

What is Neurodiverse?

Neurodiverse is when a group includes both neurotypical and neurodivergent members. This term highlights that people with different neurological makeups can enrich diversity within a group.
