As a therapist, Vania is committed to working in a collaborative manner with her clients providing them with treatment tailored to their needs. 

 

Vania Vilchis Schauf is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California (LCSW # 78233). 

 

In 2012, Vania earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work with Concentration in Mental Health and Sub-concentration in Military Social Work and Veterans Services from the University of Southern California (USC). In 2009, Vania obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of La Verne; she also completed her Associates of Science in Addictive Disorders Studies from Oxnard College. 

 

Currently, Vania is involved in providing crisis intervention, linkage, and referral services to clients who are experiencing a mental health crisis and is also teaching Mental Health classes to Law Enforcement personnel in the City of Los Angeles. Vania has been providing psychotherapy in the State of California since 2012. She has been conducting biopsychosocial clinical assessments. diagnosing, developing treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy services to Veterans, families, and individuals suffering from different mental health issues including Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Psychotic Disorders, and Mood disorders. As a psychotherapist, Vania has several years of experience providing individual, family, and group therapy utilizing a variety of modalities including Crisis Intervention, Seeking Safety, Crisis Oriented Recovery Services (CORS), Motivational Interviewing, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Somatic Experience -Method of Traumatic Resolution Treatment. Vania has also worked conducting group classes for Domestic Violence, Anger Management, and Parenting Classes for court-mandated individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders. In addition. Vania provides psychotherapy in both English and Spanish.

I love cooking and creating new recipes, spending time with my family is a top priority for me; I view meal times as an opportunity to enjoy a nice meal with my love ones. I also enjoy watching Charles Chaplin movies while spending time with my german shepherd and cat.
